Marcello Lepore

I have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering, a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and, more recently, the National Scientific Qualification (Italy) as Associate Professor (ASN) in Machine Design (Ing/Ind-14). I am expert in the modelling and simulation of both static and fatigue behaviour of mechanical structures with professional software based on both the finite element (FEM) and the boundary element (BEM) method. I am an expert in damage modelling and simulation in metallic materials and a specialist in Linear and Non-Linear Fracture Mechanics (LEFM and NLFM). I did an internship at the BEASY Company (2009, Ashurst Lodge, UK) participating in the development and control of Beasy software modules for the propagation of multiple crack fatigue. For several years I have held the course of "Actuators for the automation of fluids" at the University of Salerno, and I have gained experience in the design and configuration of hydraulic circuits for fatigue testing machines. I am an expert in structural bonding and acquisition of strain gauge signals. I am experienced in using LabVIEW software to control and acquire data from static and fatigue testing machines (INSTRON, MTS). I have a Master in Quality Management (MQM) at IRFI (Rome). I have had experience with Siemens PLC programming. I am ''Environmental Acoustics Technician '' and I specialize in interior acoustics. My last position was that of Researcher in Composite Materials at the Department of Engineering and Technology of the University of Derby (UK), within the European project CleanSky2 / Matrix (Fokker Landing Gear). I am now a researcher of the EU ATLAS (Advanced Design of High Entropy Alloys Based Materials for Space Propulsion) project at the University of Derby.
