Sara Bagherifard
Dr Sara Bagherifard, Assistant Professor, female. Role: Supervisor of ESR.
Dr Sara Bagherifard is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano since 2017. Before starting her current appointment, she has held multiple research associate and postdoctoral fellow positions at University of Cambridge (UK), Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology (US) and Harvard Medical School (US). She has also been the recipient of multiple awards including Best talk award ESIAM in 2020, Gold prize young scientist lecture (Surfaces, Coatings and Nanostructured Materials Society (NANOSMAT)) in 2015, young researcher’s award (Italian group of fracture (IGF)) in 2009 and best presentation award (SEMDOC, University of Zilina) in 2009. She has numerous scientific peer-reviewed publications and one book chapter across different disciplines of mechanical engineering, material science, and biomedical engineering. Her H-index, according to the SCOPUS database, is 25.
